Gala Day a big success

Thursday 2nd July 10am

The Love Hoddesdon Gala Day on Sunday, 28th June, saw around 4,000 people come into the town centre to enjoy a day filled with live music performances, funfair rides, street entertainment and stalls.
 
As always, our events are intended not only to offer local people a fun day out but also to showcase what our town and its businesses have to offer.
 
The Gala Day was the culmination of the two-week-long Love Hoddesdon Midsummer Festival, which highlighted and promoted a wide range of events at local venues and run by local groups and organisations. Despite the heatwave which affected some events, organisers have reported very good attendances at events across the fortnight, which is excellent news.
 
Our thanks to everyone who took part in the festival and to all our brilliant volunteers who helped make it such a memorable two weeks, including Love Hoddesdon's Events & Promotions Chair Stephen Harris who worked tirelessly to organise the entire event – it was a mammoth task!
