Two New Associate Members: Hoddesdon Bowls Club + Citizens Advice Broxbourne
Tuesday 20th October 3pm
Love Hoddesdon BID exists, first and foremost, to support and improve our town centre to help our members – the local levy-paying businesses – to prosper. But we also play an important role in bringing together the wider community, and our Associate Membership scheme enables local businesses based in neighbouring areas, including our industrial estates, and community groups to join the Love Hoddesdon family.
Associate Members are able to benefit from all the BID services, including publicity, promotion, training etc and we are delighted to be welcoming two more new Associate Members this month. Here are their details…
Hoddesdon Bowls Club (Rosehill)
Hoddesdon Bowls Club (Rosehill) is a long-standing pillar of life in our town, having been in its present location since1936. It has members from not just Hoddesdon and Broxbourne but also from farther afield the wider area, its friendly atmosphere attracting people from as far away as Bishop’s Stortford and Enfield.
As a private members club with excellent facilities, the club enables members of all abilities to enjoy a wide range of recreational and / or competitive lawn bowls throughout the summer season (April to September).
Members also enjoy a variety of other recreational and social activities across the whole year, including indoor bowls from October to March.
Citizens Advice Broxbourne
We are also delighted to welcome Citizens Advice Broxbourne which has joined the BID as an Associate Member.
The organisation’s CEO Kate Davies said: “Citizens Advice Broxbourne is delighted to have joined Love Hoddesdon BID, strengthening our links with local businesses and the wider Hoddesdon community.
“We provide free, confidential and impartial advice to local people on a wide range of issues, including debt, benefits, housing, employment and consumer problems. Our advice helps people understand their options, access the support they are entitled to and take practical steps to resolve problems before they escalate.
“As an independent local charity, we also use what we learn from the people we help to highlight wider issues affecting our community and work with local organisations and partners to help improve things for everyone.
“We’re looking forward to being part of the Love Hoddesdon BID network and building new connections with local businesses and organisations across Hoddesdon.”
